the Elk and Fording River watersheds. Only 70 km separates Elkford from one of the largest
wilderness parks in Western Canada. Vehicle accessible only in summer, Elk Lakes
Provincial Parks outstanding montane landscapes, shimmering lakes and remnant
glaciers are contained within more than 17,000 hectares of unforgettable sub-alpine
scenery.
Shops, restaurants, community parks, trail riding, a 9-hole gem of a
golf course, more than 30 km of interpretive hiking trails, and an extensive mountain bike
network are local highlights.
