Whiteswan Lake Park

Spectacular views and excellent fishing opportunities.

Spectacular mountain views are accented by the only lakeside camping in the Kootenay District and the back door entry for adventure, featuring superb trophy quality fishing for rainbow trout.  This provincial park is located off Highway #93/95, just east of Canal Flats.  The four camp- grounds begin at kilometre 21.

Lakeside hikes, swimming, fishing, waterfalls and plenty of room to roam are found here in this scenic wilderness park.  To ensure a quiet and relaxing experience, there is no towing allowed on the lake.   Winter ice fishing is very popular.

Alces Lake, also within the boundaries of this 1,994 hectare park, allows fly fishing only.  Lussier Hot Springs, an undeveloped mineral spring is located near the park's western boundary.

The park offers 88 vehicle/tent campsites, picnic and day- use areas, sani-station, boat ramp, dock, pit toilets, wheel chair accessible, water, firewood, pay phone and Park Hosts.  No reservations are taken.  Open year-round, fees from May to October.
