West Arm Park

The pocket beaches are popular with boaters.

The West Arm Provincial Park extends along the shore of Kootenay Lake from Nelson to Harrop, and up to the peaks behind.

The park is largely undeveloped and important for its bio- diversity value as the natural habitat for several endangered species, while also protecting Nelson's water source.

Wilderness backcountry camping is offered and a day-use picnic area.   Famous for activities such as fishing, swimming, 15 km of hiking and walking trails - there is also an unmaintained historic trail up Lasca Creek.

Open year-round, no fee.   For further information, please link:  wlapwww.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/westarm.htm
