Goat Range Park

Park activities include wilderness camping and fishing.

The 78,947 hectare Goat Range Provincial Park is a large protected wilderness area just north of Kaslo along Highway #31.  There is a  rustic vehicle access camping area at Gerrard, on the old railway terminus.

There are no other developed facilities in the park.  Access roads and trails are not maintained.  This park is open year-round and there is no fee.

Activities include expert backcountry hiking, picnicking, wilderness camping and fishing.

The park protects the only natural spawning site of the worlds largest Gerrard Rainbow trout and is critical in maintaining the natural habitat for many other species such as the grizzly bear, mountain goat and woodland caribou.
