New Ownership at Rossland's
Red Mountain Resort

 


Now under new ownership, Red is expanding every aspect
of this 'ultimate destination'.


 Red Mountain Resort has announced several major changes and mountain upgrades for the 2004-05 winter season:

bulletBeginner area with 200 foot 'Magic Carpet' conveyor system
bulletJeff Paterson signature terrain park
bulletCross-country ski and snowshoe loop accessible from the
base
bullet28 new base area condominiums

As a result of an extensive summer brushing program, Red Mountain has increased its skiable terrain for the coming season to 1,585 acres, up from its previous 1,200 acres.  This is the beginning of the growth to a world-class 4,200 acre resort.

Red Mountain's 15 year development plan includes:
bulletExpansions of novice and intermediate terrain
bulletSeveral new lifts
bulletEnlargement and remodel of the resort's Paradise Lodge
bulletA new skier-services centre
bullet2-3 multi-unit lodges in the base area

Red Mountain Resort is 10 minutes north of the Canada/US border and 5 minutes from the community of Rossland.  The resort offers an infinite number of runs that descend 2,900 vertical feet (884 metres) through the best-in-the-world tree skiing and wide-open glades of untouched powder.
