Fernie
Golf and Country Club

Since 1918 there have been few objections in
proclaiming the Fernie Golf & Country Club as one of the best sites for
golf in all of Canada. The course is a thoroughly engaging
championship test offering a great variety of holes. The course
also yields fabulous views of mountains with intriguing names like Ghost
Rider and Three Sisters.
"You just can't beat the scenery around here,"
says Doug Robb, Fernie's popular Head Professional. "The mountains
here are truly spectacular." 'Spectacular' is also a pretty good
way to describe Fernie's number one handicap hole, the 436-yard 13th.
This terrific hole demands an accurate tee shot with water on the right
and huge trees on the left of the fairway before reaching a massive
three-tiered green. "There have been a number of great rounds
ruined on thirteen," finishes Doug.

With a beautiful
clubhouse, superb practice facilities and a wealth of nearby
recreational opportunities, you'll want to call Fernie your 'base
camp' for some time. |
