Elkford

Elkford prides itself on being 'The Wilderness Capital of B.C.' a major destination for wilderness enthusiasts.  With over 40 km of hiking and biking trails in and around Elkford, there are several easy to moderate trails suitable for outings of half a day or less.

On the Forest, Falls and Lakes Trail, hikers can view the breathtaking Josephine Falls as they cascade 25 metres down a steep canyon carved by the Fording River, then on to Lost Lake and Lily Lake.

Bare Hill Lookout is an enjoyable hike that features a panoramic view of Elkford and the surrounding mountains, this hike is moderate in difficulty with some steep sections.

Boivin Creek Peace Park Trail offers naturalists with wildlife viewing, wildflowers and birding opportunities.

Elkford area.
